ACTIVITIES
The principal activities of the company consist of provision of credit financing services to the Federal and State civil servants, investment trading, property investment and management.
PORTFOLIO OF ASSETS
2.1 Land Bank
PCB has entered into a joint venture agreement with a developer for the development of 2-storey shop offices on the 1.92 acres commercial land near Sipitang Hospital.
PCB’s 117 acres of agricultural land in Pitas for aquaculture development, negotiation is in progress with a potential joint-venture partner for leasing out the land without capital commitment from our part.
2.2 Shoplots
Own 8 prime commercial shoplots at KK Plaza which is right at the center of Kota Kinabalu city.
PCB is finalising the conversion of its investment with a developer for 2 units of three-storey shop/office under construction at Semporna Square, Semporna, East Coast of Sabah.
2.3 Private Equity
Providing secured bridging finance at a higher interest rate while reducing overall risk profile of the project through financial engineering.
2.4 Consumer Financing
Consumer financing to Federal and State Civil Servants. Started operation in September 2000 in the form of Hire Purchase through Angkasa salary deduction scheme. This is a classic case of low risk but high return business.
We are currently having a portfolio of more than RM328 million consumer loans given to Federal and State civil servants under an “Alliance Agreement” with a commercial bank whereby the bank provides and disburses money directly to borrowers and sign a tripartite loan agreement between borrower, bank and PCB. Collection is through PCB account with Angkasa.
PCB has two salary deduction codes with Angkasa, one of which is being used by a commercial bank.
